Due to the steadily rising number of students and simultaneous reduction in practical lessons study programs, need for alternative learning resources is increasing. In this work, a method described which allows real laboratory equipment be represented as web-based models, using stirred bioreactor an example. The model that was developed explore design operation bioreactors independently time, location end device. Information associated with each component displayed on help become familiar different setups. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations were embedded enable understand influence stirrers flow behavior bioreactors. This online tool prepares subsequent work laboratory.
